Gwyndean Meaders, 82, of Randlett, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Pittsburg First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett, Texas.
Gwyndean was born on Oct. 17, 1934, in Wesley, to the late William and Estelline (Crowson) Glasscock. She retired after many years as the director of food service with the Burkburnett Independent School District in Texas.
She was a member of the Elks Club, where she served as a Doe and enjoyed dancing and being with her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marl Meaders; her son, Marl J. "Bud" Meaders Jr.; two brothers, Tommy Dwain Glasscock, and Bill Ed Glasscock, and her sister, Dortha Burns.
She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Wilson and husband, Ronnie, of Pittsburg, Gay Laminack and husband, Rick, and Tanya Burns and husband, Charlie, all of Devol; her daughter-in-law, Jessie Meaders; three sisters, Wyna Grippando and husband, Charlie, of Krebs, Ruth LaFevers and husband, John, of Stigler, and Kay Cullifer and husband, Bob, of Wesley; eight grandchildren, Brady Wilson, Brandon Wilson and wife Flora, and Blaine Wilson, all of Pittsburg, Kelly Campbell and husband, David, of Oklahoma City, Tony Laminack, of Devol, Dawson Burns and wife, Rebecca, of Tarran, Texas, Kandace Burns, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Whitney Harlan and husband, Jered, of Devol, and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
