Freda's Story

Freda (Tookie) Oleta Hearod-Weeks, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017.
Freda was born to Fred and Lula Hearod in Canadian, on April 3, 1924.
Freda was married at 16 to Thomas L. Weeks Jr., of Indianola, on the Gaines Creek Bridge on Jan. 9, 1941.
She was a homemaker and stay at home mom. She enjoyed cooking for her family and attending family reunions.
Freda is survived by a brother, Bobby Hearod and wife, of McAlester; son, Tommy Weeks and wife, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Barbara Arneecher, of Akron, Colorado; son, Danny Weeks and wife, of Oklahoma City, and son, Calvin Weeks and wife, of Edmond.
Freda has nine grandchildren, Tom, Joe, Rick, Rodney, Dana, DeAndra, Cassandra, Carmen and Luke.
Freda has 11 great-grandchildren, Karissa, Thomas, Joe, Chase, Joshua, K'leigh, Avery, Raylynn, Brenlee, Corden and Ethan.
Freda has nine great-great-grandchildren, Camden, Emma, Payton, Berkley, Jaxon, Joe, Liberty, Alayna and Carsen.
Freda was preceded in death by both of her parents, Fred and Lula; her husband, Thomas Jr.; three brothers, Virgil (Buddy), Verlin Dale and Fred Cleven; two sisters, Ada Juanita and Bonnie Coleta, and one daughter, Freda Laverne.
