Emma Jean (Beck) Amos, 76, of McAlester, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, in McAlester.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Bishop Chapel of Memories.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steven Amos, Joshua Amos, Daniel Amos, Michael Amos, Dalton Hatfield, Michael Amos Jr., Jacob Rowell and Kevin Rowell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of McAlester, 801 Wyandotte Avenue McAlester, OK, 74501.
Emma was born to Henry Eugene and Helen Virginia (Cathey) Beck on Sept. 16, 1941, in Eufaula. She graduated from McAlester High School and then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College.
She married Jim Amos on March 14, 1958, in McAlester. Emma had worked at the McAlester Naval Ammunition Depot during the Vietnam War and she retired as a cook for McAlester Schools where she worked at Will Rogers Elementary and McAlester High School.
Emma loved to travel and enjoyed playing Bingo and watching and listening to Karaoke.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rowell and husband, Terry, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Ashlee Brewer-Hatfield and husband, Steve, of Raymore, Missouri, Jillian Brewer-McDaniel and husband, Matt, of Dallas, Texas, Steven Amos, of McAlester, Michael Amos, of Sedalia, Missouri, Joshua Amos and wife, Anita, of Krebs, Jacob Rowell, of Manhattan, Kansas, and Kevin Rowell, of Kansas City, Kansas; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, family members and friends.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Helen Beck; husband, Jim Amos, and a son, Jimmie Amos Jr.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
