Eldon Robert Riley, 76, of Hartshorne, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Eldon was born in Higgins, on Nov. 17, 1940, the son of the late Andrew and Thelma (Costen) Riley.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Mountain Station Cemetery in the Higgins Community. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.
Eldon worked in the oil and gas industry for many years along with being a rancher. He loved his family and rodeos.
Eldon was a sergeant in the United States Army and served a year on the DMZ in Korea. He was also in the U.S. Army Reserves and was honorably discharged.
He was the husband of Lorita Carol (Bowen) and was married on July 6, 1973, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Lorita Riley, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Riley, of Tulsa, James and Jana Riley, of Hartshorne, Charles and Sharon Riley, of Hartshorne, and Jackie Riley, of Hartshorne; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayla and Jack Loyd, of Hartshorne, Crystal and John Garrett, of Hartshorne, and Lovisa and Isaac Wilcox, of Hartshorne, and brother and sisters-in-law, Jim and Freda Riley, of Glenpool, and Maudine McLearn, of Georgetown, Texas.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda and husband, Josh, Marcy and husband, Aaron, Cassidy, Trenton and wife, Megan, Jessica, Jeremiah, Tyler, Colton, Haleigh, Lauren, Stacy, Ethan, Randi, Charlie, Karsen, Tennyson, Sawyer and Griffin. Also, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Thelma Riley; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thelma and Jack Bowen; seven brothers; one sister; granddaughter, Tatum Riley, and great-granddaughter, Timber Moran.
Pallbearers will be Trenton Garrett, Tyler Garrett, Jeremiah Loyd, Ethan Riley, Kendall Casey and Keaton Moody.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sawyer and Griffin Wilcox and Jerry Dan (Jake) Riley.
