Deborah "Jan" Key, 62, of McAlester, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, in McAlester.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Eric West. Burial will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Farrell Cunningham, Lloyd Fields, Benny Mauldin, Cody Mauldin, Ron Joslin and Walter Waldridge.
Jan was born to Truman and Wanda (Castleberry) Riddle on Sept. 30, 1955, in McAlester. She attended grade school in Haywood and graduated from Stuart High School.
Jan married James Key on Nov. 18, 1977, in Arpelar. She worked as a seamstress for Komar and Sons for several years.
Jan was an avid University of Oklahoma sports fan. In her youth she loved horses was active with the rodeo club and had served as rodeo queen.
Jan is survived by her mother, Wanda Riddle, of McAlester; sisters, Mary Ann Fields, of McAlester, and Rhonda Cunningham, of Ashland; brother-in-law, Farrell Cunningham, of Ashland; seven nieces, nephews and spouses, Kylie and James Bentley, of Eufaula, Tabitha and Richard Wheat, of Ashland, Tanya and Mike Shores, of Ashland, Kelly Cunningham, of Ashland, Crissey Barton, of Stuart, Brandi and Tony Rusk, of Mustang, and Cody Mauldin, of McAlester; brother-in-law, Lloyd Fields, of Arpelar, and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, Truman Riddle, and her husband, James Key.
The family would like to thank all the people at Mitchell Manor that saw to Jan's care over the years. Arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
