David Scott Satterfield, 63, of McAlester, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at his home.
Family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Pastor Freida Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Quinton Cemetery.
David Scott Satterfield was born on Feb. 2, 1954, in Brawley, California, to Marvin Hoyle Satterfield and Velma Faye Campbell. He was a longtime police officer for several different police departments in Oklahoma. Most recently he worked as a campus police officer for the McAlester Public Schools, retiring in 2014.
He served nine-and-one-half years in the 445th MP Company of the Oklahoma National Guard in McAlester.
Survivors include his mother, Aline Satterfield; daughters and their families, Terri Kay Leann Mathiews and Tim Mathiews, and sons, Parker Mathiews and Nickolas Lalli, Sherri Dawn Deann Casey and Joe Casey, and daughters, Sailyr Casey, Heather Young, and Ronnie Young, and daughters, Stella Young and Violette Young, Megan Bennett and Hayden Mordicai, and sons, Jayden Tucker and Riley Mordicai, Belinda Bell Wilson, and daughters, and son, Cayden Wilson, Madison Wilson and Macey Lawrence; sisters and their families, Brenda and Tom Cawthon, and sons, Bryan Peters, and daughter, Taylor Hammond, Jeffrey Peters, and son, Brandon Peters, Mollie Satterfield and Tim Johnston, and daughters, Brandi Satterfield and William Ingels, and daughters, Bradlei Satterfield and Isabealla Satterfield, Mandi and Mark Scott, and daughter, Stormy Cotton.
He was preceded in death by Marvin Hoyle Satterfield and Velma Faye Campbell, and all of his grandparents.
Active pallbearers will be Parker Mathiews, Ben Dassler, Justin Satterfield, William Ingels, Tim Mathiews and Mike Nave.
Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Stokely, Melvin Satterfield, Nickolas Lalli, Roger Melson and Robert Williamson.
