David Dee Gardner, age 71, of Blanco, Oklahoma died at Hillcrest Medical Center on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10 a.m. at The Ti Valley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Virden officiating. Burial will be at Ti Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Gardner, Wyatt Gardner, Morgan Gardner, Royce Smith, Clint Sellers & Tyas Short. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Armstrong.
David was born on October 17, 1945, in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to David Floyd and Dorothy Armstrong Gardner. He attended schools in Haileyville. He worked for Mix Printing in Dallas, Texas before moving to Blanco. David was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and anything to do with the farm and horses. David had a team of mules and he loved to hook them up to his wagon and go to Sardis Lake. He was a great story teller about all his life's adventures.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Gardner of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Clint Sellers of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jeanie Gardner of Kiowa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Emily Sellers, Isabella Sellers, Jacob Sellers, Colton Sellers and Jessica Preston; and the mother of his children, Bonnie Gardner of Ft. Worth, Texas.
David was proceeded in death by his father, David Floyd Gardner and his son, David D. Preston.
