Darryl E. Amason, 59, of Wilburton, died on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, in Tulsa.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Kenneth Harris officiating.
Darryl was born on April 10, 1958, in Ellis County, Texas, to William Dowell and Beatrice Moore Amason. He grew up and attended schools in Waxahachie, Texas, and graduated from Waxahachie High School.
Darryl then joined the United States Air Force for six years and was honorably discharged.
He then worked many jobs in many places and was a heavy equipment operator for many years.
He enjoyed barbecuing and gathering at the lake.
Survivors include his children, daughter, Tonya Amason, of Wilburton; son, Tony Amason, of Tahlequah; daughter, Sonya Williams, of Wilburton; son, Carl Angelo, of Tahlequah; daughter, Brittany Wilk, of Lawton; son, Jimmy Ross, of Lawton; Michiel Thorton, of Spiro; daughter, Shelly Hupp, of Wilburton; son, Justin Collins, of Lawton; daughter, Rebecca Collins, of Tulsa; daughter, Jessica Collins, of Tulsa; brother, William Dowell Amason, of Texas; 38 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LuAnn Amason; a son, Jeromy Ross, and a sister, Norma Amason.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
