Dale's Story

Dale Davis was born on May 21, 1927, in Stuart. He was the son of Arthur E. and Opal Davis.
Dale served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946.
In 1949, he married the love of his life, Naomi Sartor, in Stuart. Dale was a 1954 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He and Naomi moved to El Reno in 1958. Dale retired from the El Reno Reformatory in 1979.
Dale was an ordained deacon and a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. He had a special gift of ministry to those in need.
Dale enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He was an accomplished guitarist who loved to play and teach others. In their earlier years, Dale and Naomi enjoyed playing and singing music wherever a crowd was gathered. Riding his lawnmower was a favorite activity. Dale loved his family dearly and thought his wife was the most beautiful person in the world.
Survivors include his wife; four children and their spouses; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
A service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, at 1 p.m. at Bohannon Church in Stuart. Dale will be buried at Bohannon Cemetery, alongside his parents, grandparents and other friends and relatives. The Rev. Douglas Jones and the Rev. James Crowson will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of El Reno.
