Christine (Bailey) Quaid passed away on Dec. 16, 2017, at the age of 90, in McAlester.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Brown's Chapel in Coalgate. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
She was born on July 8, 1927, in Wardville, to Claude and Inez (Delk) Bailey.
Christine married Jack Quaid on June 23, 1945, in Atoka, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2008.
She worked at Blue Bell and the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.
Her greatest joy was being a homemaker.
She was a member of Wardville Baptist Church where she enjoyed doing church work. She loved flower gardening, traveling and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Valdez and husband, Tommy, of McAlester, and Peggy Cosgrove and husband, Travis, of Arpelar; two sons, Leonard Quaid and wife, Kay, of Davis, and Richard Quaid, of Wardville; 14 grandchildren, Keith Quaid, Kevin Quaid, Kyle Quaid, Maria Wilson, Keegan Heard, Cadence Murray, Angus Quaid, Doyle Blankenship, Johnny Blankenship, DJ Blankenship, Lisa Kirkes, Shelia Blankenship, Clinton Cosgrove and Jaclyn Cosgrove; 11 great-grandchildren, Lauren Unwin, Max Quaid, Madilyn Quaid, Kyleigh Ann Quaid, Gannon Blankenship, Gage Blankenship, Lillian Blankenship, Laney Blankenship, Forest Kirkes, Luke Kirkes and Kennedy Cosgrove; one great-great-grandchild, Raelynn Unwin, along with many nieces, nephews and dearly loved family and friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, James Glenn Quaid Jr., and five sisters.
