Charlett's Story

Charlett Marie Nail, daughter of the late Clyde Ermon Cranford and Agnes Moore Cranford, was born on Sept. 16, 1951, in Merced, California. She departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at her home near McAlester, at the age of 65 years.
In 1969, she married Ernest Downing in Reno, Nevada, and they had two daughters together. She later married Donald D. Bone, of Krebs, who helped raise her daughters.
She was a nurse for nearly four decades beginning in 1976 at St. Mary's and McAlester General East and culminating with a 30 year span as Dr. James Golla's nurse at Warren Clinic, until their retirement in 2015
She enjoyed trail riding and camping and belonged to several organizations including, Bad Girl Trail Riding Club, Red Hat and Purple Chaps, an equestrian Chapter of the Red Hat Society, and Sisters on the Fly, an outdoor adventure group for women.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jessie and Jeff Otis, of McAlester, Billie Jo Sistrunk, of McAlester, and daughter of her heart, Serina Kleveter, of Eufaula; one brother, Billy John Cranford, of Alaska; twin sister, Bernice Fay Rainwater, of Muse; grandsons, Jeremy Otis and Chance Sistrunk, and beloved nieces and nephews and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; brother, Clyde Edmond Cranford, and infant granddaughter, Candice Marie Sistrunk.
She will be cremated, per her wishes, and her ashes placed at her parents' resting place in Whitesboro in a private family ceremony.
There will be a come and go Celebration of Life at her home on Horse Shoe Lane on June 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. The family is grateful for condolences.
