Charles "Chuck" Leroy Linn, of McAlester, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1941, in Adrian, Michigan, to Leroy and Leila (Stahl) Linn.
Chuck had a master's degree in chemical engineering. He held many positions during his working years and lastly was a self-employed computer consultant.
During retirement, Linda and Chuck enjoyed cross country travel on their Harley-Davidson and 40 foot motor home, along with entertaining friends and family as the smoke-master.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda Linn, of the home; sons, Michael Linn and Eric Linn, both of Irving, Texas; step-daughters, Carrie Hester, of Bakesfield, California, Tarrie Wilmoth, of Pacifica, California; step-son, William Wilmoth and wife, Jenai, of Pacifica, California; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Leroy Linn and wife, Terrie, of Wolcottville, Indiana; sister, Marsha Wagnor and husband, Bob, of Manchester, Connecticut; nephew, Jeremy Linn and wife, Sally, and their daughter, Brittany, of Wolcottville, Indiana, and Basset Hound children, Fred and Missy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Leila Linn, and, Basset Hound child, Molly.
A celebration of his life, with military honors, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Robert B. Thomas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1098 in McAlester.
