Charles "Charlie" Edward Collier, 77, of Arpelar, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at his daughter's home in Arpelar.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Arpelar Faith Assembly of God Church. Following the service, the ashes will be buried at Arpelar Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Brother Clint Gray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Short, Rick McFadden, Doug Steidley, Allen Dale Ward, Freddie Sanders, Ralph Palmer, Chuck Edwards and Adam Collier.
Charles was born Oct. 25, 1940, to Paul and Frances (Palmer) Collier, in Scipio. He joined the military service in 1957 and served both in the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
He retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Depot in McAlester.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, taking his grandkids fishing and working in his sawmill.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Collier, of Crowder; daughter, DeAnna Murray and husband, Phillip, of Arpelar; son, Steve Horne and wife, Carla, of Wilburton; grandsons, Adam Collier and wife, Lacey, of Oklahoma City, Travis Horne, of McAlester, and David DeJacimo and wife, Lynnette, of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Amanda Murray, of Arplear, Kimberly Murray and Mandie Melton, of McAlester, Krystina Horne, of McAlester, Amber Collier, of McAlester, Deziray Hearst and husband, Keenan, of McAlester, and Samantha Horne of Wilburton. Great-grandsons, Jaylen Nelson, Bryson and Braydon Horne, Diego and Phillip Cuevas, Dallas Collier, K.J. Hearst and Braidon Dejacimo, and great-granddaughters, Daizy and Felicia Cuevas, Angel Baker and Kmya, Quianna and Trenity Hearst.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Collier; his son, Eddie Collier; brothers, Frank Collier, Bob Collier and Ronnie Joe Collier; first wife, Mary (Sennett ) Collier; second wife, Sarah (Horne) Collier, and a dear friend, Carol Morgan.
