Carolyn Dell (Yount) Taylor, 73, of Coweta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 27, 1944, to Logan and Katherine (Brannon) Yount, in Ashland. Carol was raised in Bugtussle, where she attended school through the 8th grade. She graduated from Crowder High School.
She married Raymond Taylor on July 23, 1971, in Tulsa. Carol was a certified nurse assistant who had a gift for caring for others.
Carol enjoyed golfing, fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived a full life, bringing love and laughter to anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Taylor, and her parents, Logan and Katherine Yount.
Carol is survived by one daughter, Stacey Edmiston, of Haskell; three brothers, Bobby Yount and wife, Wanda, of Crowder, Dale (Wence) Yount and wife, Janice, of Bugtussle, and Terry Yount, of Bugtussle; three grandchildren, Jordan Edmiston, Jodi Edmiston and Jessica Edmiston; one great-grandson, Bentley Scott Stidham, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Carolyn's life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, at First Baptist Church in Coweta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol to the Clarehouse, 7617 South Mongolia Road, Tulsa, OK, 74133.
