Carolyn L. West, 73, of Krebs, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at her home in Krebs.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Deacon Bill Anderson officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Carolyn's grandson's, Denton, high school basketball team, the Lakewood Lions and his close friends.
Carolyn was born on Sept. 30, 1944, in McAlester, to Jimmy and Lucille (Rhine) Maisano. She grew up in Krebs and graduated from McAlester High School in 1962.
Carolyn retired from Boeing as a proud member of the United Auto Workers.
She enjoyed watching Oklahoma University football, the Golden State Warriors and was the Lakewood Lions number 1 fan. She would also proudly tell anyone she was a Yellow Dog Democrat.
Her true passion in life was for her family, her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild was boundless.
Survivors are a daughter, Libby Cossey, of Krebs; grandchildren, Kendall Foster and husband, Kyle, of Harrah, and Denton Cossey, of Krebs; the love of her life, her great-granddaughter, Tatum Foster, of Harrah; a nephew, Jim Maisano and wife, Alicia, of Norman; a niece, Belinda Sneed and husband, Lonnie, of Midwest City; aunts, Thresa Watson and Mary Cobb, of McAlester, and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also a loving "Nana" to numerous children throughout the years, especially Kendall and Denton's friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber West; parents, Jimmy and Lucille Maisano; a brother, Johnny Maisano Sr.; a nephew, Johnny Maisano Jr., and a great-niece, Sara Maisano.
