Carl Alan Tedrick Carl Alan Tedrick, 56, of Dow, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
The family will greet friends today, August 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Edgewood United Methodist Church in Hartshorne with the Rev. Leon Mace officiating. Burial will follow at Red Oak Cemetery in Bache.
Carl Alan was born on August 14, 1961, in McAlester, to Leo Douglas Sr. and Bertie Louise (Rogers) Tedrick. He was a carpenter for most of his life.
Carl was a wonderful man, loving grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and was very special to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife, Nona Tedrick, of the home; sons, Kash E. Walters, of Bache, and Chris Nix and Carl Alan Tedrick II, both of Texas; grandchildren, Jodie Walters and Tiffany, Stacy Walters, Nathan Nix, Natalie Nix and Ryan Nix, and great-grandchildren, Lexi Hill, Taelynn Marshall, Valeree Marshall, Bobbie Walters and Kopus Alan James Walters.
He is also survived by brothers, Doug Tedrick, of Stafford, Virginia, Frank Tedrick, of McAlester, Tommy Tedrick, of Longtown, and Larry Tedrick, of Vancouver, Washington; sisters, Brenda Dominic, of McAlester, and Nancy Blackwood, of Marietta; his mother-in-law, Juanita Cockerhan, and numerous brothers-in-law including, Jack Hanes, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Sr. and Bertie Tedrick.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Short, Joe Dominic, David Dominic, Jodie Walters, Ronnie Wallace and Connor Tedrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be David McVay, Jack Hanes and Nicky Short.
