Caleb's Story

Caleb Holt, 20, of Hartshorne, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in Stillwater.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Hartshorne Elementary School Auditorium with David Sanchez and Jason Lindley officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Caleb Holt. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
Caleb was born in McAlester on March 8, 1997, at McAlester Regional Hospital. He attended grade school in McAlester and then attended Hartshorne from 7th grade until he graduated in 2015. He attended college at Eastern Oklahoma State College and Oklahoma State University.
Caleb was a perpetual member of the South McAlester Masonic Lodge No. 96.
He was employed full-time at Wilson Chevrolet in Stillwater and helped on his family's ranches in his free time and summer breaks. He also assisted in selling merchandise for his brothers band.
He loved to hike, ride his dirt bike and enjoyed live music. He loved being around friends and family and loved animals, especially his dog, Boo. His smile was contagious and if you knew him, you loved him.
Caleb is survived by his parents, Charles and Mandi Holt, and Pam and Jimmy Russell; siblings, Paige Holt, Sam Russell, John Tyler Perry, Kristen Perry and Chelsea Stewart; grandparents, Charley Holt Jr., Coy and Sue Harrington, Jim and Carol Russell, and Roy Dean and Jenelle Lott; aunts and uncles, Vicki and Bill Beames, DaNon and Sean Mass, Charlene and Mark Bell, Mike Russell, and Megan McGimmis; numerous cousins, and girlfriend, McKay Barton.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jackie Holt, and aunt, Trevi Holt.
Active pallbearers will be John Tyler Perry, Braxton Curliss, Dakota Snell, Colton Tubbs, Dusty Platt and Zach Skimbo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Jeff Beare, Read Southall, Jeremee Knipf, Justin James, Clyde Scott, Reid Barber, Grant Canis and Joe Painter.
