Brenda Sue Fleming, 65, of Eufaula, passed away February 15, 2018, at her home.
Brenda was born on July 2, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of George Harold and Joy Ann (Miller) Semelka. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in June 1970.
On October 24, 1970, Brenda married Ronald Fleming. They lived in Port Clinton, Ohio, until 1982, when they moved to McAleste.
In 2002, Brenda moved to Eufaula. She ran a home day care for several years then worked at Walmart for 20 years. She then worked part-time as a cashier for Nichols and was a substitute teacher for Eufaula High School.
Brenda loved watching her grandkids play and cheer for the Eufaula Ironheads.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Adams and husband, Randy, of Eufaula, and Joy Crider and husband, Ray, of Eufaula; her adopted sons, Christopher Reeder, and Willie Gibson and wife, Rhonda; her brothers, Charles Semelka and wife, Jackie, of Toledo, Ohio, and Gary Semelka and wife, Jackie, of Arkansas; her sisters, Tina Fleming and husband, Mike, of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Jackie Weis and husband, David, of Kingsland, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, Skyler Whitfield, Elizabeth Fleming, Dakota Adams and wife, Casey, Sierra Adams, Jami Adams, Elijah Adams, Ronnie Adams and Ami Adams, Weslie Gibson, and Hannah Burns; great-grandson, James Adams; a bunch of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; all of her special grandkids at Eufaula High School, and a special friend, Tevin Rittenhouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald, and an infant son, Ronald Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, at Kelley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Sanders officiating. Services are under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
