Bobby's Story

Bobby Ray Horton passed away in his home on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, in Vallejo California.
Bobby was born on Aug. 28, 1948, to Bud and Opal Horton, in Scipio. He was the fifth of 11 children.
He served in the United States Army in the Military Police in the Korean War.
He was a fabrication and machinist by trade.
After retirement, his hobbies were woodworking, fishing, boating, and he loved playing with his dogs.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy; siblings, Ravenna Waldrip, Melva Chandler, Brenda Williamson, and Glen Horton and wife, Sheralynn, brother-in-law, Lee Dobbs, all of the McAlester area, Charles Horton, of California, Virginia Hooe and husband, Robert, of Georgia, Leroy Horton and wife, Lea, of Washington, and Linda Shawn and Debra Horton, of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sharon Dobbs.
Services will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, on Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.
For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.
