Betty Jean Eldridge Beshear, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.
She was born on Aug. 25, 1924, in Brooken. She moved to Wood Bridge, California in 1969 after her husband died.
She worked as a nurse's aide at several hospitals in Lodi, California, for a total of 37 years. She retired at age 77 and moved back to Oklahoma.
She was a master at painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, embroidery, making porcelain dolls, jewelry, and any craft she attempted. She loved learning, reading, word find puzzles and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Harrison Beshear; parents, Mary Elizabeth Powell Eldridge and Marrow Jerome Eldridge, step-mother, Sintha Elizabeth Kemp Eldridge; brother, Charles Eldridge; sister, Barbara Teshira; son, Franky "Peewee" Beshear; daughter, Mary Linda Kurtz, and grandson, Dustin Beshear.
Survivors include her children, Benny and Linda Beshear, of Okmulgee, Clyde Beshear, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and Connie Mills, of Lodi California; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Spicer; brothers, Carl, Clifton and Calvin Eldridge, and numerous nieces and nephews.
No funeral services are scheduled.
