He was a very good man i didn't know him very long but always knew how to brighten up a room with a funny joke. My favorite thing was when he got his new Pick-up, i was visiting with Paula one day and Barney pulled up, got out of his new truck and said "Paula, y'all get in there and tell that lady to be quiet. I don't want no Wifi-diddle-Net, no snapple-face or WWW.crap,. just make her not come back. Barney had accidentally hit his On-Star button .....LOL

My daughter Bryana thought a lot of Barney his face would light up when Bryana would pop in from time to time to check on the chickens or even just to visit, she loved going up and checking on the chickens she has a duck up there & had a chicken up there to untill a great big chick snack ate it, she saw the snake grab her baby chicken and ran home got me,me & Bryana went back up to Barney & miss Angies farm & killed that snake that sucker was the biggest chicken snake i ever saw!! My daughter loved Barney, she really did she is 11 years old and Barney was part of her entire life!!

I loved Uncle Barney very much. I don't care how old I was when he'd walk in it was like being a kid again when he walked into a room. I was always happy to see him and even when I was sad or upset he could make me smile. I remember him helping daddy build mine and Sheryl's bedroom after momma passed away. He came everyday he was off work and they got it built. I don't remember how long it took them to get it done but I remember him giving up his time to make sure we had our room. The pic is from a few years ago. It's one of the last times I got to see him. I'm gonna miss him so much.

Thank you to all for the countless thoughts, prayers and support during our time of loss. Daddy's service was the most uplifting celebration of life I've ever experienced. I left feeling joyful, blessed and peaceful. I will never forget the joyous sounds of laughter and singing, no doubt Daddy was singing and laughing right along with us. He will always be my hero, my best friend and my compass.. my true North. We are all divinely blessed for having known him. I will strive every day to be more like this loving, accepting, compassionate and patient man.

My first memory of Art was when I was five and I was in awe. He was in uniform and it was GREEN! I had been around Navy blues but I knew he was different and important because of that uniform.
Art was one of the gentlest and kindest people I have ever known. He always greeted me with a smile and he could make you feel so special with just a word or two. I can still picture Art, Allen and my dad sitting together at family gatherings, laughing and joking.
Angie, Paula and Ryan - I am so very sorry. My prayers for comfort and love to you.
