Arlie E. Cloud, 69, of Haileyville, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at his home.
Family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at First Assembly of God Church in McAlester with the Rev. Jarrod Cloud, the Rev. Chester Cooley and the Rev. Barry Prock officiating. Burial will follow at Sans Bois Cemetery near Kinta.
Arlie was born on Jan. 15, 1948, in Kinta, to Burnie and Ruby (Mathis) Cloud. He graduated from Quinton High School as Salutatorian of the Class of 1966, where he played basketball and was awarded the American Farmer Decree. He then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College at Wilburton for two years then transferred to Oklahoma State University, where he graduated with a bachelors of science degree in vocational agriculture.
He married Barbara Joyce Alexander on Oct. 27, 1978, in Boynton. He was an AG teacher for many years with most of those coming in Haileyville and Savanna.
He was a faithful member of First Assembly of God in Haileyville and loved teaching, agriculture, his church and grandkids.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Bonnita Cloud, Jeremy and Jessica Cloud, and the Rev. Jarrod and Jeni Cloud; grandchildren, Ashleigh Cloud, Paige Cloud, J.D. Cloud, Jaxy Cloud, Jocey Cloud, Zoey Cloud, Rylee Cloud, Jentry Cloud and Piper Rose Cloud; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Bill Blankenship, Shirley and Tom Braswell, and Linda and Tom Reeder; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Shirley Cloud, Ray Cloud, and Gary and Barbara Cloud; sister-in-law, Carol Cloud; brothers-in-law and spouses, Larry and Pam Alexander, and Kenny and Lori Alexander; sister-in-law and spouse, Patsy and Johnny Linden, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arlie was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; parents; one sister, Bonnie Pugh-Shields; two brothers, Jack Cloud and James Cloud, and s sister-in-law, Cindy Cates.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Miller, Daniel Cloud, James Ray Cloud, Brandon Reeder, Gary Cloud and Mike Cloud.
