Alana (Heeke) Jennings, 64, of McAlester, entered eternity Saturday, September 23, 2017, peacefully at her home with her family at her side.
The Jennings family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 6-8 pm at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, at The King's House in McAlester with the Reverend Nolen Lake, Pastor Felix Waller and Pastor Charles Kerley officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in McAlester.
Alana was born on November 18, 1952 to Othmar and Marie Heeke of Jasper, Indiana. She married Roger Jennings of Washington, Indiana on August 14, 1971, and shared over 46 years celebrating life and their family.
Alana was a devoted housewife and mother to her four children. Her pride and joy was her entire family. She was a kind and selfless woman who lived to serve her family and their needs. Her greatest sense of fulfillment was always when the family would gather in her home and she could see all of her children and grandchildren playing and enjoying being at their Gran's house. Her grandchildren will always remember the undivided attention she provided to each of them and how she played with them. She was a generous lady who was willing to give and help those in need. She also had a very special and unique bond with her granddaughter, Krystian who loved spending time with her Gran. It has been said by all who knew her that she had a gentle spirit, a kind heart and an infectious laugh.
Survivors include her husband, Roger, of the home; her daughter Shannon and husband Charles Boatner and granddaughter Krystian, all of McAlester; her son Broc and his wife Mandy, grandchildren Izaiah and Silas, all of Mustang, Oklahoma; her son Blake and his wife, Hannah; grandchildren Ava and Alaia, all of McAlester; her brother, Verl and his wife Tanya and their children, Taylor Meyering and Morgan Heeke, all of Houston, Texas; her sister, Jan and her husband Ron Cloyd, of Roscoe, Illinois, and their children, Justina Walker of Loogootee, Indiana and Cassidy and Eric Neveux, and their children Max and Dash, all of Chicago, Illinois.
Alana was preceded in death by her parents, Othmar and Marie Heeke, her brother, Randy Heeke, her daughter, Shavonna Lynn Jennings and her grandsons Randy Wright and Jacob Jennings.
Active pallbearers will be Nick Galan, Zack Stanford, Randy Wesley, Billy Boatner, Tommy Cravens and Tony Runyon.
